Before you sign up
Do I need to know how to edit?
No. You film and upload. If you want changes, you type them in plain English, like “cut the part about pricing.”
What should I film on?
Your phone. Holding it in selfie view works fine. If you want the sharpest picture, use the rear camera propped about an arm and a half away at eye level, facing a window. Don't worry about mess-ups. Restart the sentence and keep going.
Can I use trending sounds?
TikTok and Instagram only let you add trending sounds inside their own apps. Download the video and add the sound when you post.
Who owns my videos?
You do. Your footage is used to make your edits and nothing else.
What counts as one video?
One raw take up to 3 minutes. Longer takes use one video per 3 minutes started, so a 7-minute take uses 3. Each video comes with 2 rounds of changes; a 3rd round or later uses one video. Changes that fail on our end never count.
What’s a custom animation?
Every plan uses the Take One animation library, and it grows every week as new animations are added. On Pro and Studio, when nothing in the library fits what you said, Take One designs a new animation just for that line of your video. It’s yours in that video right away, and a version without any of your content can join the library for everyone. Creator and Founding Creator use the full library, including every new animation added.
